Tendon Library

To view the post-tension tendon library, select the Tendons command from the Libraries menu. The tendon types listed when this screen opens correspond to the currently section library file selected in the Library Pathnames Setup dialog box.

Adding Tendons to the Library

Perform the following steps to add a tendon to the library:
  1. Click the Add Tendon button to add a new row to the library.
  2. Enter the tendon values in the grid. A definition for each parameter is available below.

Copying Tendons to the Library

Perform the following steps to copy a tendon to the library:
  1. In the grid, select the tendon you want to copy by clicking anywhere in its row. A blue arrow displays on the left side of the grid to mark the selection.
  2. Click the Copy Tendon button to add a new row to the library.
  3. Enter the tendon values in the grid. A definition for each parameter is available below.

Deleting Tendons From the Library

Perform the following steps to delete a tendon from the library:
  1. In the grid, select the tendon you want to delete by clicking anywhere in its row. A blue arrow displays on the left side of the grid to mark the selection.
  2. Click the Delete Tendon button.

Grid Definitions

SettingDescription
Name Enter the name of the tendon.
Type Select the type of strand used in the tendon from the drop-down list.
Fpy Enter the yield stress for the tendon strands.
Fpu Enter the specified tensile stress of the tendon strands.
Es Enter the modulus of elasticity.
D Enter the diameter of the tendon.
A Enter the total area of the post-tension tendon strands.
